Google Rich Business Messaging (RBM) allows brands to communicate directly with mobile users through rich features like custom carousels, action chips, and brand verifications. To establish a connection, the client must verify that the destination device supports RBM profiles.
Google RBM Capability Checking
The Google RBM API exposes capacity check methods. The lookup checks the Google carrier routing database. If the user device has active RCS support on their carrier, Google returns a capable status code.
Carrier Redundancy
Relying on a single API can be a bottleneck. If carrier check requests timeout, the entire outbound queue pauses. RCSChecker solves this by implementing failover manager routing, falling back to Telnyx or other adapters automatically.
